Address: Green Lane, Chislehurst

The property

Our clients had recently purchased their 1930’s period property – a spacious home that previously failed to make the most of the space this property boasted. Similarly to all period properties, this project demanded a sympathetic approach.

The refurbishment was a complete renovation – beginning with the removal of all internal walls and floors, with new joists and walls created and completed with an electrical rewire and new plumbing system. The project incorporated an expansive rear extension – for which we managed the planning application, removing the stress and complexity of the process from our client.

The brief

Our team worked from top, to bottom – from basement fit out, to the creation of a new staircase that featured spindles to match the existing designs. Our workmanship graced the property from the outside, in – from the plantation shutters and double glazed exterior windows, to the complete kitchen created and installed by our team.

We crafted new doors throughout the property – an external door that featured doubled glazed acoustic glass to minimise outside sounds, internal doors which were matched with bespoke furniture and a completely refurbished front door – renovating the stained glass that featured within it. New doors also featured for the garage, designed to match seamlessly with the front door and property’s gate.

Each item emerged from our workshop having undergone stringent quality control processes – every feature, detail and finishing touch handcrafted and lovingly created, by craftsmen and no one less.

Property renovation projects are challenging enough without having to manage multiple suppliers, fitters, tradesmen and project managers. Yet beyond logistics, there’s a singular reason why our client commissioned our services for this imposing project – our ability to handcraft and create an extensive array of home features – from front gate to a complete kitchen. Projects of this scale are not uncommon for our team – not least testament to our ability to produce every item required of such an extensive refurbishment.

The transformation was as dramatic, as it is beautifully sympathetic to the period of the property. From beginning to end this project spanned 9 months and as you can see from the technical drawings – the success of such a project relies on a team that operate as one – surveyors, designers, joiners and carpenters, all on the same page, with the same vision – directed by a project manager adept at many skills.
