What we do at Wandsworth Sash Windows
Welcome to Wandsworth Sash Windows. Our core speciality is the manufacture and installation of a range of home improvement products, including windows, doors, furniture, kitchens and joinery. It’s all made in the UK, in our East Sussex workshop.
We will also be happy to repair and renovate existing timber windows, helping you get the most out of your home.
A history of our window company
Wandsworth Sash Windows began life as a family-run business based in Clapham. We found a gap in the market for high quality joinery that is expertly installed by proper carpenters, so when we were offered the opportunity to pair with an established East Sussex joinery, we jumped at the chance. We have been operating as one company ever since.
Very quickly, we experienced incredible growth that far exceeded our expectations. When it became clear that Wandsworth Sash Windows had outgrown the Clapham showroom, we moved to a large unit in Sydenham. This is our current showroom and head office.
We are now a thriving company with a large enough workforce to take on projects of any size.
More than just sash windows
Think we are just sash window fitters? Think again! Our East Sussex workshop can make anything out of wood, including doors, bespoke furniture and even kitchens. We are proud to have a team who can carry out installations and all associated building work – to date, we have completed five whole house refurbishments. We also offer brickwork alteration, so if you want to put in new doors and windows, that won’t be a problem.
An experienced, highly skilled workforce
Our joiners and carpenters are highly adept at what they do. Our carpenters and installers are fully qualified with the independent certifications body CERTASS. Everyone across the company takes pride in their craft, ensuring a fantastic finish every time.
We like to undertake a site visit in order to gain an understanding of your requests and requirements. We do not provide prices in person and your surveyor will not sit on your sofa pressuring you to sign a contract – some customers have taken more than a year to get back to us, and that is absolutely fine! Post appointment, we will send a full estimate, including a drawing and all the information gathered at the appointment.
Bespoke, individually crafted windows, doors and joinery
Our homes reflect our individual personalities, so why settle for mundane windows and doors? We use bespoke designs and handmake your joinery in our workshop, tailoring every last detail to your requirements. This includes wood species, glass type, paint finish and glazing bar design. By controlling the whole process ourselves, lead times are shorter – the average timescale is 8 weeks. This is shorter than many large national companies.
Made in Britain
We are proud to make all our joinery and furniture in Britain, crafting it from quality timber. All operations are handled by Trev the production manager, so we have full control over quality. We encourage all customers to book an appointment and take a trip to the workshop to see how our joinery is made. Read more on our Made in Britain page.
