Mr K enquired about what we could offer him for thermal insulation for the windows at his property. The client was not sure what would be achievable given that he lives in a listed building in the heart of Westminster. The client was initially hesitant given the significant amount of admin and paperwork involved in carrying out works in listed buildings. Luckily, Wandsworth Sash Windows has excellent experience in such matters.
After our initial visit, the client was most keen on retrofitting new vacuum insulated Fineo glass into the existing sashes. Clearly, this required full planning approval from the council.

Initially, Mr K asked us to complete a planning application on his behalf. We conducted another site visit to put together a full condition report on the existing state of the windows to strengthen our application with Westminster Council.7 weeks later we achieved listed building consent on behalf of the client.
We undertook an additional survey of the windows to check all our dimensions prior to ordering the Fineo glass with the manufacturer. There were 4 windows in total to work on. All windows are extremely large at almost 3 meters in high each.
Our installation team reglazed the sashes with the ultra-slim Fineo glass. In conjunction with this we carried out full draught-proofing and fully redecorated all internal and external timber of the windows.
