Eddystone Road is a small road a walk away from Crofton Park station and our Brockley showroom. We were pleased to undertake this transformative job.
As you can see from the photos taken before the work was undertaken, Mrs L had dark brown PVC casement windows fitted at the front of her house. She wanted us to change these to a more traditional timber design.
The ground floor front window opening is wider than it is tall. We therefore recommended the installation of a triple Venetian sash window. This is where the two side pairs of sashes are fixed and the middle pair is operational. This is an excellent design of window to install here because it is both functional and allows a large amount of natural light into the living room.
On the first floor the PVC windows were replaced with complete new timber box frames and traditional sliding sashes. All joinery was painted in white which works very well to brighten the front of the property.
For all windows we also fitted new timber tier-on-tier plantation shutters with the top and bottom sections operating independently of one another.
Overall, it was an excellent transformation that everyone was pleased with.
