Replacement Timber Sash Windows – Tooting Bec, SW17. Job Value £7,000 – £8,000
These replacement timber sash windows have a detailed, intricate glazing bar design which is incredible difficult to manufacture. We were first asked to do this design for a customer on Dalebury Road, and we therefore now call this design of window a Dalebury design.
The original windows in this customer’s property did not have the curved glazing bar section in the central large pane in the top sash, and these windows were the only ones in the parade that did not have this curved glazing bar. At some point, this section of glass was replaced and (potentially for ease and cost saving) it was decided to remove the curved glazing bar, and put a square section of glass in place. The new replacement windows reinstated this original design feature.
The property sits within a conservation area, the client therefore decided to use our planning application service, and we prepared and submitted all of the necessary documentation for this, and had the application approved prior to installation.
These windows were fitted to a ground floor living room in Tooting Bec for our client. The windows were manufactured at our workshop in East Sussex, painted using Teknos paint and was finished with Hardwick ironmongery.
