Made in Britain

Why It Matters

Buying British products is better for our customers. We handmake all windows, doors and joinery in our workshops in Britain. Joinery, especially windows and doors, have very nation-specific designs and features, they are made differently have very different priorities in countries across Europe. For example, in Britain most casement windows are made to open outwards. In France however, this is almost unheard of. In Germany, windows are traditionally internally glazed, but in Britain they are traditionally glazed externally.

Some companies manufacture their windows in eastern Europe to save on costs, but those workshop will also manufacture for French, German and other customers, so they are forced to come to a compromise between the different manufacturing styles to appease each, but please none.

Manufacturing our windows, in-house, in Britain means that we focus on windows and doors for just one country.
