Replacement Sash Windows – Tooting, SW17. Job Value: £10,000-£11,000

Sash windows with this interesting an intricate design are quite common in the period properties around Tooting Common. We were first asked to manufacture sash windows like these for a customer on Dalebury Road, Tooting in 2015. Since then, we have always referred to this beautiful (yet complex) design as a “Dalebury Sash”.

Our client’s original windows were single glazed and showing signs of deterioration. They contacted us to manufacture and install new double glazed versions. These windows have a very unique design, with glazing bars creating 17 smaller panes of glass in the top sash, including 8 of these with curves. We manufactured new sashes with applied bars, to keep the slim profile and ovolo moulding on the sashes.

The sashes were spray finished with Teknos paint, and fitted with new polished brass ironmongery from the Hardwick range.
