We carried out this job for Ms H who lives a 5 minute walk away from Tooting Common. At the back of her property she had an extremely large set of French doors and sidelights which had fallen into disrepair and were starting to suffer from rot.
The total door measured 2750mm wide x 2500mm tall, so they needed some extra stability. We always use hardwood for this very reason. In this instance, we used utile hardwood.
Our joiners in East Sussex made the doors in four parts in order for them to be transported through the house on the day of installation. The double glazed units we provided were 24mm thick and toughened for extra safety and security. The workshop also prepared new bespoke architrave to match what was existing.
The installation was completed within two days. In addition to dust sheets the fitters had to use hardwood floor protector to look after the new flooring recently laid by the customer. The results were fantastic and Ms H was very pleased.
