The property
This beautiful suburban Edwardian home was enriched with period features throughout – a prime example of a Corbett style home. Such properties command an especially sympathetic approach – details that may otherwise go overlooked by any team less than one with experienced craftsmen. Perhaps the perfect example of which is the groove that features under the sash window sills of these homes.
The brief
Each of the front sash windows for this property were crafted in our workshop – under the watchful eyes of our in-house designers, joiners and carpenters, each of whom are well-versed in the finest of details. The casement windows to the rear of the property were also replaced throughout.
A further consideration for such a property in this area was the style of the front door. Previous to this project, the clients’ entrance could be said to have created an unwanted contrast to local design – following completion, their new front door is wonderfully suited to both the classic style of the property, as well as the traditional, four glass panels.
Throughout the property new internal doors were installed, whilst the rear benefitted from bi-folding doors that were as beautiful as they were robust – for years of use and superior security.
Finally we installed new Velux windows for the roof – allowing for light and functionality in a space used for as an additional bedroom.
